Sean Sparks, Tattoo Artist & Owner of Merlin Tattooing, Dover
Sean’s tattoo career began in 1998 with an apprenticeship under the watchful eye of Merlin’s founder Nick Taylor. Since then Sean has also worked in the USA and Germany and many tattoo conventions throughout the UK. As his artwork blossomed, his portfolio grew and the reputation of Merlin Tattooing spread further. Sean is now highly respected amongst the tattoo community.
In 2006 Sean ceased the opportunity to buy Merlin Tattooing. Since putting his own stamp on the shop, Merlin’s has grown into a thriving business with a large loyal customer base, many of whom travel miles to get artwork done by Sean.
Despite his success, Sean never gets complacent and constantly strives to improve and take his artwork to another level. Sean’s main influences are traditional Japanese and New School tattoo styles and he also specialises in custom designs for those customers who like to have something unique.
